Q: Do I need to be a Chicano/Hispanic or Native American to apply for a travel scholarship?A: No. While our target populations are Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans, we are an inclusive organization that encourages all eligible members of the STEM community to apply for a travel scholarship.
Q: Is the travel scholarship application the same as the research presentation application?A: No. If you would like to present your research at 2017 SACNAS, you must submit a separate application for Research Presentations.
Q: Should I apply during the spring or summer application period?A: The summer application period will be open only to undergraduate students in a summer research program. All other students and postdocs should apply in the spring application period.
Q: Can I reapply in the summer if my application was not approved in the spring?A: No. We will accept only one travel scholarship application for the entire year. Additional applications will not be considered.
Q: Can I edit my application after submitting?A: Yes. After completing your application, you will be sent a confirmation email with a link to your application. All changes must be made before the application deadline.
